Back-end Developer

The person in this role will work with project teams developing modern data platforms in a cloud environment. An integral part of these platforms are data applications, i.e., web applications that allow users to interact with data (e.g., through unique interactive data visualizations, data entry/modification forms). The person will work in an international environment and specialize in the architecture of cloud-based Big Data solutions and the latest technologies in this area and promote the principles of the DataOps manifesto.

Warsaw Hybrid/Remote

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain back-end services and APIs using Python (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, Gradio, Streamlit)
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Optimize applications for reliability, stability of operation, and scalability
Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices
Work closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver features

Requirements:

Experience as a Back-end Developer with focus on Python (2+ years)
Familiarity with Python web frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, Gradio, Streamlit)
Solid understanding of RESTful API design and implementation
Experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL)
Proficiency in source code management using git
Practical knowledge of English at a min. B2 (C1+ preferred)  
Independence and responsibility for assigned tasks
