Senior Data Engineer

The person in this role will join our Advanced Analytics projects, with a focus on the Databricks ecosystem. Beyond hands-on engineering, you'll work closely with clients and project teams, contributing to architecture discussions and helping define the evolution of data platforms. You'll work in international teams, in English, on modern cloud-native solutions.

Requirements

  • liPoint

    5+ years in Data Engineering (Data Warehouse, Data Lake/Lakehouse, ETL/ELT, Big Data)

  • liPoint

    3+ years of commercial Databricks experience (PySpark, Spark SQL, Delta Lake, DLT)

  • liPoint

    Deep understanding of Databricks architecture

  • liPoint

    Strong SQL and Python skills (5+ years)

  • liPoint

    Good understanding of Medallion Architecture

  • liPoint

    Understanding of data modelling principles

  • liPoint

    Experience with cloud environments (Azure, AWS or GCP)

  • liPoint

    Knowledge of architectural patterns: Data Mesh, Data Vault, Dimensional Modeling

  • liPoint

    Familiarity with orchestration and integration tools (Airflow, dbt, Kafka, Data Factory)

  • liPoint

    Git practical experience (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)

  • liPoint

    Additional experience with data governance and data quality practices, as well as database technologies such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Redshift, MongoDB, or Cosmos DB, will be an asset

    Practical English at B2+ level (C1 preferred), with openness to grow it further

    Good communication skills

Responsibilities

  • liPoint

    Design and architect data platform solutions in Databricks, both for new builds and optimizations of existing systems

  • liPoint

    Advise clients directly on technical direction: propose architectural decisions, evaluate trade-offs, and present recommendations

  • liPoint

    Build and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Spark, Delta Lake, and Medallion Architecture

  • liPoint

    Own data quality, monitoring, and observability within the platform

  • liPoint

    Drive standardization: code review, documentation, testing practices, CI/CD

  • liPoint

    Collaborate with project teams, Data Analysts, and Data Scientists in international settings

  • liPoint

    Mentor junior engineers on solution design, Databricks best practices, and code quality

  • liPoint

    Stay current with Databricks releases and proactively propose platform improvements
