Since BitPeak actively supports banks with their data-driven strategy, it was an obvious choice to be part of IT@BANK 2024. For years, the conference has attracted leading experts, financial industry leaders, and IT representatives to discuss the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in banking technology.

Engaged in sectoral discussions

BitPeak was a conference partner, and our team – Sebastian Kamiński, Marcin Walczak, Michał Szklarczyk and Michał Michalak, had a chance to showcase our experience to hundreds of participants.

BitPeak - IT@BANK partner, discussing challenges in banking sector

At the BitPeak booth, we discussed the biggest challenges of the banking sector, i.e.:

  • regulatory compliance – how to implement effective risk management solutions in line with regulator requirements,
  • effective data management – how to establish data ownership policies and conduct audits and training for employees,
  • operational risk reduction – how to monitor key risk indicators and implementing oversight systems,
  • data integration – how to create unified data platforms to eliminate information silos,
  • increasing security – how to maintain the highest standards of data protection and regularly updating systems,
  • implementing AI and ML in business processes – how to reduce time, improve operational capability, and optimise costs.

Focus on data platforms as an essential element of digital transformation

Customer-centricity, speed and convenience of banking are priorities for most banks and financial institutions today. The need to streamline and accelerate processes is emerging at all levels, from risk management and internal operations to hyper-personalization and customer relationship management.

These challenges drive the development of modern data platforms, increasingly used by financial institutions striving to become data-driven. More on this topic was shared by Sebastian Kamiński in the article Przyszłość danych w bankowości: między regulacjami a cyfrową transformacją [The future of data in banking: between regulation and digital transformation], published in the November issue of the BANK Magazine, released during the conference.

Inspiring sessions from industry leaders
