With summer just around the corner and the holiday season slowly beginning, we met again at our Warsaw office to spend some time together outside the usual project rhythm.

On June 25, BitHikers gathered for a summer barbecue, which became a good opportunity to catch up, talk about things beyond daily work and simply enjoy an evening together. For a team working across different projects, locations and often in a hybrid setup, moments like this are a valuable chance to reconnect and start the summer season in good company.

A quick look at BitPeak Activy Quest

We started the evening with a short update on BitPeak Activy Quest, our ongoing sports challenge that has been running since May. BitHikers have been collecting points for different types of activities, so it was a good moment to look at the latest results, check a few standout statistics and see how the competition was shaping up.

There was also a short quiz, where participants could guess who was leading in selected activities and how well they had been following the challenge. With BitPeak Activy Quest running only until the end of June, the meeting gave everyone one last push before the final scores are counted and the top three BitHikers choose the charitable cause that BitPeak will support.

We also used the meeting to hand out this year’s new BitPeak merch: polo shirts prepared for BitHikers. You will probably see them again soon, both in the office and during conferences and events coming up in the second half of the year.

Outside the project rhythm

After the Activy Quest update, we moved to the main part of the evening: the barbecue. There was plenty of food, a relaxed summer atmosphere and enough variety for everyone to find something for themselves, from classic grilled options to lighter snacks and small additions that kept people coming back to the table.

For many BitHikers, it was also a good opportunity to simply sit down and talk. Especially in a hybrid team, where people often work from different places and on different projects, these informal moments help catch up in a way that does not always happen during daily work.

The evening also had its more competitive side. Some BitHikers chose table football or beer pong, while others joined card-based integration games and smaller activities prepared for the group. It was less about keeping score and more about mixing teams, starting conversations and adding a bit of energy to the evening.

A good start to the summer season

The integration lasted until late evening, with conversations, games and a relaxed summer atmosphere filling the office. It was a simple but much-needed chance to spend time together before the holiday season fully begins.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on June 25. We are already looking forward to the next BitHikers gathering.
